The data can be used to identify comprehensive turnkey management fees for arrangements involving Professional Corporations and Management Service Organizations (“PC-MSO arrangements”) for most types of physician specialty practices. Compensation-to-collection ratios are also available for benchmarking and setting comp-to-collection models.
The 2026 Acuvance DataRise™ Physician Practice Management Fees data subscription identifies non-medical practice expense ratios, physician compensation ratios, and malpractice ratios as a percentage of revenue for 165 medical and surgical specialties, over 100 localities, and three sites of service at five different percentiles (10,25,50,75,90). The baseline level of management fees (non-medical practice expenses) can be adjusted for the facts and characteristics of specific management arrangements. This data is starting point for determining Fair Market Value of physician practice management fees.

Adjusted rates are available for 109 U.S. geographies and 3 practice sites of services (office setting, provider-based facilities, blended).
The non-medical practice expense ratios are aggregated from survey data reported by 22 major medical medical and specialty societies, as well as billing data samples for over 950,000 providers.
