Acuvance DataRise™ Chief Medical Officer Compensation is an annual data subscription. This data set identifies compensation paid to real chief medical officers and medical directors at these types of organizations:
- Hospitals: CMOs and medical directors (>1,400)
- Ambulatory clinics & group practices: CMOs and medical directors (>1,100)
- Home health agencies: CMOs and medical directors (>360)
- Skilled nursing facilities: CMOs and medical directors (>40)
- Substance abuse: CMOs and medical directors (>120)
A small number of other medical executive positions are identified as well. For example, the hospital dataset includes about 50 VPs of Medical/Clinical Affairs–most of these individuals service double-duty as VP and CMO.
Data Details
The data is in the public domain, so organization names, individual names, hours worked, compensation components, and organization characteristics (annual revenue, number of total employees) are disclosed for each observation.
The performance period includes market observations from 2023 through 2025, so some of the same individuals may show up across multiple periods at certain organizations. Users can filter and exclude duplicate data from their analysis. Organization names, hours worked, and compensation types are identified as well.
This dataset is updated with new data monthly.
